The ninth Scientific Conference organised by the German Association for Actuarial and Financial Mathematics takes place on April 30th, 2010 in Bremen.

The Scientific Conference is dedicated to the presentation of scientific and theoretical concepts as the reference to applications in the field of insurance and finance that will be covered by the Section Meetings the following day. The Conference aims at demonstrating that insurance mathematics is an attractive field of research for applied probability theory and statistics, offering interesting and non-trivial problems. Thus, it serves the purpose of the DGVFM to promote research in insurance and financial mathematics in Germany. We also cordially welcome students interested in the research potential of this field.


Der neunte Wissenschaftstag der DGVFM findet am 30. April 2010 in Bremen statt, und zwar wieder im Rahmen der Jahrestagung und der Mitgliederversammlungen der DAV/DGVFM.

Der Wissenschaftstag widmet sich bewusst der Präsentation wissenschaftlicher und theoretischer Konzepte, der – durchaus vorhandene - Anwendungsbezug steht ja in den Arbeitsgruppen im Vordergrund. Ziel ist zu zeigen, dass Versicherungs- und Finanzmathematik anwendungsbezogene Gebiete der Mathematik sind, welche attraktiv und spannend sind, in denen nicht-triviale schöne Probleme auf Lösungen warten und welche sich daher als ideales Betätigungsfeld für alle Mathematiker, insbesondere aus der Stochastik, anbieten. Die Veranstaltung dient damit dem wichtigen Auftrag der DGVFM, die Forschung in Versicherungs- und Finanzmathematik in Deutschland zu fördern. Auch Studenten sind herzlich zu den Konferenzen eingeladen.
